The famed “Night in Vienna Ball” is totally magical... The Romance is next to impossible to replicate anywhere else! The Ball starts with the entry of the Host and then straight into a lively trip through the beautiful Viennese Woods onto the Kaiserwaltzer, Spanish Waltz, Polka and Two-Step and Russian Ballet and then followed by La Tempete, a Watlz, Polka Mazurka, Schottische and onto the Viennese Waltz to Blue Danube. The feast set for an Emperor is endless along with its Viennese table of delights. Afterwards, all are tossed into an impromptu gallop to the rousing Radetzsky March before the ball closed with the Emperor Waltz.... Endless memories of Vienna take over the heart and soul as everyone lives stronger and stays young forever.....

Schlierachtaler schuhplattler's arose at the crack-of-dawn to welcome, celebrate, and dance German-American Friendship week into New York City's Good Day New York Morning Show. Fox 5 Jodi Applegate and Chris Gailus joined in on the action!

A beautiful night that spread the the Spirit of Christmas joy to the residents of the P.V.V. Folks Home. The evening was filled with Christmas Carols, Dancing, and the merry sounds of Gus Sengenberger's according.

It’s become a scientific fact that the Edelweiss Ball gives all the opportunity to get through the quietest week of the year just before the onset of the Christmas season! Your final destination point will be the Edelweiss Ball. Here we hope you will have reached the pinnacle point and celebration within the New York German-American community.

Beyond the white and blue border post of Bavaria…….. many of our ancestor had inspirations and dreams to realize after they made their first few steps on the dirt path known as Ellis Island (just beyond the shadows of Lady Liberty) in New York Harbor. The United Bavarians of Greater New York & New Jersey proudly celebrated 75 years of unity, strength and existence. For these accomplishments have instilled the powerful force of "Liberalitas Bavarica" within us and has kept our traditions strong ...and our appetite for Weisswurst, Fingerhakeln, Leberkäse, Nagelbrett, Bier vom Fass, Schuhplattlern, Lederhosen never ending!

Today the practice of shared traditions within family celebrations is an integral part of our members lives. This helps to ensure the preservation and progress of weaving our rich Bavarian heritage and culture into the cloth of American society. It is here that each member of the Schlierachtaler through love, support, tolerance and community service nurtures all to become good human beings and helps others to look beyond themselves as a good citizens. As a result the enjoyment of Bavarian dance, song, and music can be enjoyed and treasurer by all.

The traditional May Dance of the Schlierachtaler is centered around its centuries old traditons of the Maypole and it's famous Maypole Dance. As long White and Blue ribbons attached high up on a fully decorated pole having a wreath of spring flowers are weaved into the crown of Bavaria by our dancers of all ages. Afterwards, our Bavarian smorgasbord,Bier, and music lightens up everyone with a spring fever. Perhaps the only thing missing just might be a "Maibaumkraxeln" (Maypole climbing)contest.

Now, Burgermeister Meisterburger was a very grouchy man. The day that he tripped on a toy and hurt his leg he outlawed toys in Franklin Square Long Island. The children of the Schlierachtaler were very sad. What would life be like with no toys? Along came Mr. Pelz-Nickl, whom they renamed Kris Kringle (because the meaning of KRISTKINDL is Christ Child), who began dropping off toys to the children of the Schlierachtaler -- this infuriated the Burgenmeister and he made Kris "Public Enemy #1." Talk about grouchy? Yes, it's a wonderful story with a great ending and one which doesn't have to end. Perhaps that why we should always give more than we receive.
